Hope Into Action
Hope Into Action is a national charity that enables churches to house the homeless. Here in Epsom, it's a joint ministry with Churches Together In Epsom. Funds have been raised to buy a house in Epsom to provide homeless people in our area with a home.
The idea is that the house is a temporary place to live before moving on to somewhere permanent. While living there, we offer them friendship and spiritual support as well as practical help to widen future opportunities for them. Once they've moved on, it allows us to provide a home to others and so, over time become a blessing to as many people as possible.
We're also hoping to purchase further properties to expand the number of people we can help and welcome any pledges of financial support. Monies used for this purpose are not expected to be a donation, but an investment in a property that is expected to increase in value over time. Your pledges are seen as a form of "long term" loan. More details about how this works are available on request.
If you're interested in getting involved with this project, we're also looking for help in the following areas:
-
Additional trustees
-
Additional volunteers to provide friendship and support to tennants
-
Additional commitee volunteers to help with fund raising and investor recruitment
-
Possible treasurer
-
